Timing Belts & Chain Replacements

It is important to follow your service schedule when it comes to timing belts or chains. For engines with timing belts, we will inform you when you are due for a replacement. If this procedure is not carried out when the manufacturer has recommended, your timing belt can wear and possibly break. This will severely damage your engine.

 

For engines with timing chains, you may face a similar issue, however there are warning signs that allow us to diagnose a timing chain replacement for your vehicle if necessary. You may hear a rattle coming from your engine during a cold start, possibly and engine light illuminated on your dash, or your engine running lumpy. If any of these occur, do not hesitate to give us a call and we can carry out and inspection of your timing chains.
